To be fair, I will be more lenient this time coz so many are coming out of no action for so long. Takes time to get into that groove. If this is how it is going in the 3rd week, then it is an issue, but for now, I will give them a couple of weeks to get back in the swing of things.

Is there a point to Narine opening if they don't bowl a spinner? It worked with Lynn coz Lynn would smash fast bowlers and sucked against spin while Narine was the opposite. Without Lynn, this seems like a wasted slot.

Don’t agree with this weird tactic in t20 of scoring too slowly for ages and needing 14 an over for the last 8+ overs. Better to get your big hitter in sooner rather than bury the chase completely in the first ten overs. I prefer to stay ahead of the rate or bare minimum don’t get worse than 11’s if you have more than 5 overs left to bat. Usually you have the best bowler held back for the death too, or to strangle the RRR even more before the death...so if you need 2 a ball or more it’s very difficult. Much easier to stay ahead of the game earlier in the innings. Here it’s nearly 3 a ball and 7 overs to bat. Russell has been in three balls and RRR is already above 16 which is dumb

It is one thing to chase 120 in 10 on Indian grounds. Here, with the underneath surface as soft as you would expect in a desert, you have to make the running up top.
