It's weird though, I feel on merit he should be top 4 now. Is he way less effective at playing those shots in the middle overs? It seems he make any and every bowler look pedestrian, yet he's still known as just a slogger. Remarkably consistent this tournament

Really liking Shreyas Gopal. So tough to find a way into the group of Indian spinners though.
He is bowling very well. He was just steady, without standing out in the Ranji; so probably wouldn't yet be under consideration for India A.

Cricbuzz reports:
Most runs by an opening pair in a season (IPL):
733 Warner - Bairstow (2019)
731 Warner - Dhawan (2016)
655 Warner - Dhawan (2017)
646 Warner - Dhawan (2015)

2018? No Warner, no record.

Thought that Chahal just bowled a ball of the century calibre leg break to dismiss Rayadu

But nope just another wrong un that deviated off the pad

I swear the leg break is no longer the stock delivery for leg spinners. It's kinda funny

Like Rashid Khan is literally an offspiner. He's still a wrist spinner, but he bowls far more deliveries that break in toward leg from the offside

That was probably the most exciting over of cricket I've ever seen in 20 years of watching. No exaggeration

That was a pretty sweet last over. Very entertaining. Really **** from Umesh but hey Umesh gotta Umesh.

Actually ridiculous though. Would that have been some kind of record if Dhoni had got there? 26 off the final over?

Made Carlos Braithwaite's task in the WC final look easy by comparison.

Funny that when Umesh finally tried a change of pace he actually got a result that wasn't a boundary and yeah clutch throw from Patel. But man Umesh was choking hard. Good thing ABDV had a brief chat to him before the final ball
