Because he appeared a dud in the international matches he played and that perception carried over to IPL. Extremely poor fieldsman as well.

Should not be anywhere near the world cup squad just because he is a left armer.

In an inherently unpredictable format, CSK have made predictability an art-form. Their team doesn't even look that impressive on paper this year. No one really rates the likes of Rayudu and Jadhav much, Raina is past it and pretty much retired, and Jadeja doesn't make India's XI.

Dhoni's definitely got IPL captaincy absolutely figured out.
