Evermind, the little igloo that you painted represents only a tiny part of India where 29 out of 30 would know a khan and a bachchan. I can show you neighhoods where people have no clue and the dont care. Dennis Miller is big in what he does and anyone with slight interest in standup comedy or Hollywood probably has heard his name, and like Penn at least has a stand, Liberal or otherwise.
That is ridiculous - it's not even close in popularity.

Pretty much a by-product of the growing ineffectiveness of mainstream advertising, companies have to look for more integrated ways of getting their brand across like product placement.

But of course they can't overdo it like they have because people switch off, the competition loses integrity and the thing starts to become a parody, like BASEketball.
Cricket people knock baseball, but I don't see gaudy letters of advertisers on baseball uniforms.

Seriously? Sahara is as big as India.

So it really came down to the toss?
/YES.At Coastal venues you win the toss and post a half decent score, the odds are in your favour.
The highest 2nd inn score I saw at The NCG was 270 odd,chasing 280ish:SA vs WI,WC 2003.
SA only came close coz WI bowling n fielding was utter filth.Oh and Klusener swinging his log like bat like a possessed caveman.
Seen many a team owned batting 2nd at night at Newlands.

International Coach
Man, I've heard some major bull**** on this forum.

But comparing the popularity of Dennis Miller in America with SRK or Bachchan in India takes the cake.

Get back to me when Dennis Miller sells out venues in Japan, Singapore, Africa...**** EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD and there are over a hundred fansites dedicated to him from Germany alone. Get back to me when Dennis Miller has his own TV channel (Bachchan), owns his personal basketball franchise (SRK owning KKR), and pays the most tax of any entertainer in America (SRK) - more than Oprah or Spielberg.

Show me a neighbourhood in India that hasn't heard of SRK and I'll sell you my rooster that defecates gold nuggets for $1. John Stevens, one of today's great calligraphers, is also "big in what he does" but I would be insane to compare his popularity with even a Dennis Miller's, let alone an SRK's.
There will be lot of people in South India especially in AP and TN who have little idea about SRK i am saying about small villages here...

and which is the TV channel that Bachan's owns ????

DD vs RR

No need to say who the fav is. The Q is will RR pull something out of its hat and cause an upset? As we know they need to address their batting woes. May be they should consider a new opening partner for Smith considering how Asnodkar has been throwing it away

For Delhi, will they rotate their overseas players and get McGrath and Warner in?
