Whatever it takes!!!
TBF, the pitch being this slow means the sweep is an easy shot to pull off. Jadeja did not have any more clues than Ash either.

Surprised to see they've sent Pradeep in, what with his hamstring. If you had to choose a current No. 11 in test cricket to hang around and put on a partnership to set the opposition even just a nominal target, he'd be the last chosen. And it's only Herath at the other end anyway,

They are just tired of us getting only 9 wickets to finish innings, I think. :p There was really no reason for him to bat either innings if you look at it.

That's that then. Very good spirit from the SL batsmen, I felt in both innings. Some of the decision making still not great, but they have the right ideas and in time, they will surely find the balance. Defeating SL in SL will not be this easy again, at least in my opinion, even if Herath retires. Sandakan should hopefully mature soon and they will have spinners of all varieties attacking you with excellent close in catching and the batsmen will get better. Wondering how we will select the team for the last test. Give a break to Umesh and bring in Kuldeep if they prepare a turner?

If India win the next series at home against SL (as they should) they will be tied for most number of consecutive series wins with the Australia 2005/06 side and an England side of the 1880s.

That England side had only 8 series wins. Our guys are already level with them.

Yeah, Rahane's fielding adds an important dimension and makes him irreplaceable.

Kudos to young Pandya as well. Given stick to his selection but he's done reasonably well. Would still like Kuldeep/Bhuvi to get a gig in the last game.

Congratulations to India on comprehensively winning the match and the series..goes without saying that they were the better team. Nice to see a little bit of fight from our batsmen in the second innings. It's about time that kusal produces innings from the potential he has. Again, well done India..
