Might be going off topic a bit here and I don't think there's any arguments that there is not much of a case for Thirimanne in the test side,but for me he was pretty harshly dropped from the one day side

Yeah I think he was definitely more suited to the shorter form of the game. IMO he went wrong by trying to change his game to become too aggressive-by this I mean he is a stroke player rather than a hitter and I reckon if he stuck to his strengths he would have been ok.

Yeah,averaged over 40 in both 2014 and 2015 and then was dropped when he had a couple of bad games during that tour of New Zealand which Lanka got smashed up on.
Anyway,apparently Sri Lanka will play 3 spinners tomorrow with Pradeep being the lone quick and Pushpakumara making his debut
