*Official* Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025

Not Terrible
Erm, it's never even close to that. This innings has just started the 9th over after 42 mins.
9 overs in 42 minutes, is 1 over every 280 seconds. Which over 20 overs is 93 minutes.
An hour and a half seems a pretty accurate statement.

I said just started. 10 overs were completed in 51 minutes, so we're looking at 1 hour 42 mins for the full 20.....but that's not before things slow down at the end which they invariably do.

I would just about consider 1:30 'acceptably slow' but there is just too much d***ing around. I am something of a misery guts in my recreational cricket when I have said for a long time that some of our games last way too long when a) we don't have blokes with long run-ups b) we don't have captains changing the fields so intricately and so regularly and c) those stupid time-outs. Yep, I'm getting old!

Whatever it takes!!!
Yet there are teams that are getting the fielding penalty of four players outside the circle because they are failing to meet that very generous target.
To be fair those 2 strategic timeouts do add 15 minutes compared to a T20I where you just have one drinks break for 3 mins

International Debutant
Why dont teams play fast bowlers like yudhvir kuldeep sen, ashok sharma and gurnoor brar. Isnt job of ipl to inherit talents for national team

Man games where a top heavy side batting first loses early wickets are just the roughest to watch in T20s. Just so so boring.

Early days but Punjab look like the most stacked team of the tournament

Very dynamic batting lineup and a versatile bowling attack.

Iyer should replace Rinku Singh in current Indian T20 team
Not just replace him but I think he should captain the white ball team across formats

I hope Rohit retires soon. Perfect time to hand over the keys to Iyer. His comeback story has been quite spectacular and he's been a great leader to boot as well.
