I am conflicted over whether I want Sreesanth in the Test team or not. He managed to bowl some excellent spells in South Africa recently, but still came back with an average of 42 or something, which is pretty ordinary for a quick in SA conditions. If we had a world-class, or even a steady, reliable backup to Zaheer, he'd certainly be worth carrying for the odd outstanding spell he produces every now and again.

Nah he and Ishant can **** off. Praveen and Vinay Kumar ftw.

You'd throw those two in against WI? Hopefully the tracks won't be too flat and destroy their confidence straight away. I wonder what team balance they should go for in WI, two spinners or 3 seamers.

I don't think Praveen has any issues with confidence. On those tracks I reckon you have to bowl good lines.

It'd be a sub 135kp/h bowling unit

Well it'd be sub 135kp/h but accurate with swing and a bit of nibble. i.e. better than the **** Sree and Ishant have put out recently.

Vinay Kumar doing well here (except for that last ball as I type :().

No way I'd think of leaving out Sree of the test side at present. Zaheer, Sreesanth and Munaf/Ishanth would be the atack.

The favourites with the bookies are absolutely dominating the IPL. Only two upsets so far.

Munaf in tests? Nah.
He's a bit of a risk I agree. But he can play a role that the Indian bowling attack desperately needs i.e. a dependable line+length bowler who can hold an end up. Zak for example would loveto bowl in partnership with such a bowler from the other end in places like England.

Vinay Kumar can do exactly that, and he's not as **** a fielder/batsman as Munaf.

Vinay Kumar's domestic performances deserve to be rewarded.

As it is ,he struggles to bowl 10 overs at full pelt in ODI's ,CAN'T SEE Him lasting at all in tests.

Besides he has now turned himself into a containing sort of bowler who just gently puts the ball in the same line and length over and over.
Can't see him being too penetrative at all in tests plus his stamina is too suspect late on in the day.

Would rather have Praveen Kumar in the test team . Can swing the ball early on big time and also reverse it later on too.

Uthappa is very dangerous when he gets going. Just smashes attacks around, does it so often at domestic level.
