I have this morbid desire to see how many more plugs and ads they can squeeze into IPL4. It'll be an exercise in creativity.

LCDs on helmets?

Was shifting home and missed the last 3 days of IPL. 2 CSK losses and 1 Sachin special. Heartbreaking to lose to KXIP. Hope CSK does make the semis but they need Dhoni desperately.

Bangalore and MI are just showing there class though. They should be the teams competing in the finals.

agree... their bowling attacks is what sets them apart, I feel. Excited to see how KXIP will go today though.. with Lee and Marsh back..

Pathan
Chawla
Powar

Must be a good team, at least on paper. And on their day, that bowling will win them the game easily.

Bangalore are awesome. It's amazing how things have changed since the early days of you ****s constantly laughing at them. How's them apples :p

Wonder if one of Chennai or Dheli might miss out on a spot in the finals. Would be a huge upset with the squads they have.

Yeah though Marsh may not be the same free flowing batsman of IPL1 and Lee's coming back from a pretty big injury.

A lot will depend on whether the Pakistan players are involved. The standard of the international players won't dilute if they play.
Agreed .

If the Pakistan players play the standard of international players will not dilute, specially with their being some good players being on the bench and not getting the games.

Remember even in this edition the english, kiwis's and aussies are still to arrive fully. And we could expect more of aussies and english players in the next edition ,perhaps other young players from other countries too.
Then players from less heralded nations such as Bangladesh,Netherlands,Scotland, ireland ,Kenya,Uae etc... COuld perhaps also be brought in who are suited to this format.I think this could be a massive boost both ways.

But on the other hand the threats will be - will the retired brigade last upto these standards next year? The likes of Gilchrist,Hayden,Warne,Kumble have been stars till now. Will they last till next year or will teams give them 3 yr contracts?
Then pertaining to only next year some players might not want to play due to World cup.

And with more strain on domestic players ,i think this is where quality could suffer.Yes there are pretty good domestic players still not getting a game for some teams and on the bench. But if they make it to starting squads of the new team ,the bench strength would be hard to get for all teams and thus standards could fall.Perhaps it would be advisable to raise the cap on foreign players to 5 per starting eleven instead of current 4.

Edged&Taken

U19 Vice-Captain
Irfan has dropped brother Yusuf! slower ball, Yusuf throws everything at it, ends up skying it, Irfan runs to his right from long-off, gets under it, but the hands don't come together in time ..... I saw this happening in the first IPL too.. the younger Pathan drop his elder bro in the same manner :-O

Right, I absolutely loved Shane Warne, my favourite cricketer in the history of the game, yet I absolutely love the fact that he's getting smashed in this edition of the IPL.

Why is that?

With that one wicket Warne brings down his average from 110 to 55 in IPL3 :p

Tait leading the averages with 60 per wicket.

Lumb drops Yuvi.Could be costly.
Nope :p

Seriously Yuvraj has largely been **** this IPL. He is getting out playing some extremely silly shots which is not pardonable for a man of his seniority. Seriously if his lack of application is due to him being relieved of captaincy, then that's unprofessional.
