You'll Never Walk Alone
There are 8 IPL franchises that can play 4 non Indian players at a time. Are we realy saying that junior is one of the best 32 players around? Next thing you'll be telling me he will be striding out to play at Brisbane in November.
Did I say he was? You asked why he was being selected, I gave you some reasoning.

Just realised that Harris has been dropped for Vaas and the latter has failed with the bat and produced worse figures than Harris did in his last 2 matches in his opening spell

It's either racism or a rotation policy, I weally weally cant tell :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Yeah, both Harris and Vaas got six games. Vaas ended up with one of the lowest economy rates at 6.3 and Harris with one of the highest at 8. Harris had a couple more wickets at 11 versus 9 but clearly Vaas has been the superior performer as he showed in today's game when it really mattered.

Bit surprised that no-one is discussing the bomb issue.......its like the elephant in the room. Seriously feel that someone should whup Modi's ass for forcing cricketers to play.

It is still all rumour and innuendo at this stage about the players being forced to play, isn't it?

I wonder what the ramifications, in terms of legal action, there could be if a player suffered an injury related to a bomb having been forced to play under the threat of being banned from future editions?

If it could be clearly established they were forced to play against their will, its simple occupation health & safety. Damages would be humongous.

I heard today that Simon Doull's on his way home. Fair enough. But tbf he probably gets paid a bit less to be there than the players!

Pretty sure he will somehow get out of all of this. India is pathetic when it comes to proving corruption :@, especially when all deals are done through many layers of proxy and with politicians involved.

Probably will just get a slap on the wrists at best and thrown out of BCCI at worst. This is a guy who used to be a drug dealer while at Uni and can't go the US as he is wanted for kidnapping and assault charges.

The fat lady sung loud and clear about Sir Alex's nonsensical pro-Aussie conspiracy theories the moment Vaas was selected for last night's match

Fact is that Harris no more deserved to be dropped than Vaas did earlier in the tournament

I will wait for proof before going by anything the Times of India says... Its a tabloid, not a newspaper, these days...
Yeah, that's fair enough, but I guess the concerning part was that they didn't just accuse Modi of money laundering, match fixing but they seemingly quoted the income tax dept report:

The report alleges that Mr Modi is “apparently deeply embroiled in both generation of black money, money laundering, betting in cricket (match fixing of certain IPL matches)”.

Seems like your spirited defence of Harris couldn't convince anyone really, including the guys at Dc.

Marsh is still a raw thing very much, but I feel he possesses the goods. Love the enthusiasm kids like him, Warner etc bring to the table and the seriousness with which they approach this.

Bring allegations of racism to simple performance over country selection, and expect to get away with it lightly?

One interesting point. Should Mi win today, they'd finish with 11 wins. Now, if some other team eventually goes to win the IPL, and Mi fail to win even 3rd place face off, they'd have the misfortune of returning empty handed despite having won the maximum number of matches in the tournament.
