**** i was really hoping to make clouderson jokes during this series but he's incredible and is kind of like zaheer khan towards the end of his career but better

think he'll be exceptional even if he bowls at 125 kmph

would be fun to see him bowl until he retires

hope eng rotate him out of the test series squad when we tour there later this year tho

Anyway, I'd take a top 3 of Atherton, Stewart and Hussain ahead of anything we've seen this winter, and obviously Thorpe gets in ahead of Pope; probably batting at 5 with Stokes dropping to 6. Do I even need to mention Root at 4? Gough gets in, especially if we're playing in the SC. Foakes, Leach and Anderson all stay from the current side. Then it gets tricky if we're playing in the SC.

Parkinson, Crane and Virdi were available to bowl spin. So of course they played a guy who's morale and confidence they had shattered, while annoying their one good spinner while he was busy packing his bags.

Crane is not a good bowler lol, unless he’s somehow dramatically improved.

Never seen Parkinson and Virdi apart from highlights on a turner. Seem alright.

Bess was bowling garbage since the series started, they probably dropped him because he was doing it in the nets too. Hope he bounces back someday, there’s plenty to work with there.

will be the top 5. That is pretty much set. I hope they give a break to Rishabh and let him out of the bubble before the IPL for a little bit. I am a big fan of having 6 bowling options in T20s and if possible, one or two part timers on top of that in case things go awry. And I think Jaddu is not yet fit and is not picked for the LO games. Sundar will play and I think Bhuvi will play too, so that leaves us with 3 spots. I expect Shardul and Nattu to play after their performances in Australia. Which leaves us with...

I wonder if they want to check out Varun's mystery spin at this level in this series. Which means we will probably play Tewatia as the finisher at #6 as he can also bowl handy leggies and Varun will round out, batting at #10. I am not happy with two absolute bunnies at 10 and 11, but c'est la vie.

Chuckravarthy surely can't be a worse bat than Nattu? We don't need anymore of these haha.

I hope they don't pick Dhawan.

I'd go with your lineup but swap Tewatia for SKY which gives the batting a bit more breathing room to not panic when we're 3 down. This is assuming Pandya can bowl.

I want to rest everone who just played the Tests. So no Pant, Washington or Axar for the first couple of games. Let them heal up, bring them back in later on if needed.

Kohli and Rohit must play since they are captain and vc. Yuzi Chahal, Deepak Chahar, Lokesh, Iyer, Pandya and Natarajan must play. All are fresh and feature heavily in any future WT20 plans.

Keeping that in mind I'd look at this for a starting XI:

Rohit | Lokesh (+) | Kohli (*) | Iyer | Pandya | SYK | Tewatia | Bhuvi | Chahar | Chahal | Natarajan

Bhuvi over Thakur because Thakur isn't great at T20s and I want to see how Bhuvi looks coming back from injury.

Feels bad for Ishan Kishan to miss out. Maybe Lokesh plays as a pure bat and Kishan takes the gloves and bats 7 in place of Tewatia. But I like Tewatia and it's either him or Chakravarthy as 2nd spinner. Tewatia can bat too, so why not.

Don't mind too much if Dhawan and Saini don't get a game, but I think they'll feature at some point. Hope they go well.
