I was welcomed to democracy when my dad was pulled of for no damn reason in india and the police man asking for money in order to let as free

The Delhi pitch was also dug up before the Pakistanis visited in 1999? But once security took over it wasn't a problem was it? They also dug up a pitch when the Pakistanis were to tour in the early 90s and Pakistan cancelled that tour.

Shiv Sainiks are a bunch of idiots who can only dig up pitches and do nothing more. Also it is not confirmed whether the idiots who dug a small portion up were Shiv Sainiks. Anyone who digs up anywhere near the pitch, and the Shiv Sainiks will get the blame, so it could also be a political frame up. But if it's the Sainiks then it's another example of stupidity that won't get further than this. Shiv Sainiks are not a security threat at the venues and the best that they can do is throw water bottles on the cricketers but I am sure secirity will be thorough this time.

Isn't having a cricket pitch being dug up a wee bit different than having Team Hotels of visitors getting blown up? Despite such precedents which were used by Windies and Aussies for not touring, India still toured and showed the way, didn't they?

Besides this why are you people only targeting Indians for criticism? Even Sri Lanka who toured Pakistan a couple of months back had security issues and didn't want to play at a couple of venues? And they come from a country that regularly sees bomb explosions in it's metro cities all the time? In 1996-97 Pakistan played 2-3 one day tournaments in India, led by Wasim Akram. Did anything happen even then? Did anything happen in 1999? Yeah, Indians misbehaved at Kolkotta. But security was strong enough to evict the whole stadium without Pak players getting hurt. And talking about security, what about K Srikanth getting assaulted in a cricket match when he last led India in Pakistan in 1989? Small small incidents keep happening all the time.

Shiv Sainiks always dig up pitches and talk big everytime Pak shows up, but have they gotten any further than making empty noises and digging up a couple of pitches. It is one thing to dig up a pitch when there are no matches on and no one is watching it, but quite different when a match preparatio begins and security and officials take over! Sainiks never get to create any trouble once the Pitch comes under working hands before a match, so relax! They are not going to get any closer to the Pak team from here on.

Didn't India tour Pakistan despite Lashkar-E-Toiba's threats the previous year about targeting Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly?

I haven't heard terrorist dugging cricket pitches anywhere else except here, or has there been an incident anywhere ealse too to which i'm not aware?

By the way, when I was talking of goons, looneys and morons being all over the world, I was refering to the type who think a few hirelings of some political party digging up a pitch means there is a conspiracy to help spinners !!

At least he wasn't kidnapped and beheaded in graphically recorded video meant for a worldwide media viewing, mate? An Indian permitted worker in Poland has been kidnapped for a million dollar ransom for 87 months now. The kidnappers so far have chopped off 3 of his fingers and mailed them to the police in 3 different places. What should one make of such incidents? Maybe people should just stop visiting foreign countries, no?

Maybe the Pakistanis also wanted to help Anil Kumble, since 5 of those 10 dismissals were out getting caught and 2 of them got bowled! So contrary to what many Pakistanis believe who promptly blamed 'Racist' home umpire Jayaprakash, for 'helping' Kumble back then, the poor umpire only conspired for a measly 3 LBW wickets!

Nope, the tour got cancelled after the riots of the Babri mosque destruction.

Maybe not. But if the same threat came from known terrorist organizations like Lashkar, from reliable Pakistani newspaper coverages, then I sure wouldn't take it lightly either! There was reason Sachin and Sourav were provided Z grade security by the Indian Government and not an over-reaction to a rubbish prank call!

Babri happened on Dec 6th, 1992, at the year end. The tour was to take place and got cancelled much before that!

It also happened in pakistan aswell.

No cop will do that If they had the money to feed their families.They had a reason for doing it and I understand.If he was paid enough to feed his family properly he wouldnt have been into these kind of illegal stuff.

May be because they dont feel comfortable playing in ahmedabad.Or the other way around they wanted to get some attention or may be they want to involve politics with cricket.They want to show the whole world that pakistani's doesnt feel safee in some part of india.Or may be they want to show the whole world that even india is not a safe place or maybe full of terorits you never know.

That's double policy. If India can refuse to play cricket at certain venues in Pak, then Pak can also do that.

However since India did play a oneday match in Karachi and Peshawar, therefore Pak should consider playing a onedayer in Ahmadabad.
