I don't get the deal with Thakur. I guess his lose deliveries make the batsmen too comfortable before he bowls a peach out of nowhere(or slower full tosses in some cases:laugh:). I guess his unpredictability is what is inducing these errors. Steve Waugh had said the same thing about Devon Malcolm somewhere, that at the highest level, you expect a bowler to bowl in a certain way and with Devon it was always unpredictable. He would bowl some very tough stuff but would also bowl absolute garbage that you wouldn't expect a bowler of his calibre to bowl.

Almost tempted to consider Thakur the first-choice all-rounder across formats. A little more security has done wonders for his game.

He bowls a deceptively slippery ball when he chooses to so the batsmen stay wary and overdo it on the loose stuff, which admittedly is very loose lol.

And that's a shocker too. I suppose holing out to a half-tracker makes a change from getting out to a full toss.

So we just about to hold our no 2 spot in ODI rankings. Finally an ODI series win as well.
Back to back series defeats for ENG too.

Excellent batting from these two, although the English batsmen in the top order are doing the right thing with their ultra-aggressive approach, the lower order needs to build up on that and just score sensibly. Curran, Rashid, Woakes, etc. are all capable enough of scoring vital runs for the team if they don't get carried away by how the top order batsmen fo about their business.
