*Official* India tour of Sri Lanka

Aritro

International Regular
Ok firstly, I can't believe they bottled that. Secondly, they're on 1 win and 9 losses, sitting in 12th place behind the Netherlands. Yikes.

Lmao how? ?

But tbh expected this too. Not the worst pitch to bat on and the SL side is several notches below the IND B side. At least they came close hey

Whatever it takes!!!
haha.. combined tally of 62 wickets. Still not quite Gabba levels but close enough. Lets see if the result matches. :)

I love something about these meaningless dead end of series matches where they hand out caps like confetti.
Cap giving ceremony should be fun. By the time it's the last guys turn the team masseuse will be handing it out.

Jayawickrama's had a dream start to his career. Motm on test debut and arguably their best bowler today as well.

Migara

International Coach
Happy to see the team rebuilding. There is definite unity among the players with the absence of Dimuth Karunarathne and Angelo Mathews and better discipline without Dannyboy, Dikwella and Mendis.

SL needs a coach who understands the SL ways. Mickey (Mouse) Arthur had been extremely poor. The noise is that Roshan Mahanama may take up the job.

The find of the series is Chamika Karunarathne. Coming from a sporting family, and with his brother representing SL in Badminton in Olympics, he has all the good qualities and discipline of a sportsman. He was slow, skinny and unimpressive when he made his test debut. But now bulked up, added a yard of pace to stock delivery and couple of it to the bouncer, and getting some movement. Batting has improved a lot too. The best part is he is very fit.
The other find is Minod Bhanuka. The way he reads the game is beautiful. In that aspect he has a leaf out of PJ's book. But if he can be as half good as PJ with the gloves, he would be there to stay. Not bad with the bat too.

Avishka Fernando and Bhanuka Rajapakshe are known for their talents. They are just showing it now.

The concerns are with the pace bowling. Other than for Chameera and Karunarathne no other pacer has a permanent place. Shanaka is a good enough pace bowler, so should keep on bowling. May be time to bring in Lakmal or Vishwa Fernando in. Isuru Udana was a joke, and is a joke and will be a joke forever.

Chameera needs more control. He's got the pace at the moment but very little else.

From all the debutants last night I think only Rahul Chahar looks fit for ODIs. Samson is ok but he's going to have to wait in line behind Pant and Kishan atm. Saini is crap and it's time to bin him from ODIs for good.

Sakariya/Gowtham might be handy in T20s but idk.

Impressed with fernando's knock last night tbh. Didn't know he was capable of playing that kind of mature innings.
