Yes. There is no cause for all this gloom. New Zealand haven't played to their potential in this series (so far); but they are still a very good team.

Yeah I like that. Allows for good flexibility as Neesham/Santner can be promoted if NZ are hypothetically 200/3 or 250/4 and need to continue to accelerate.

Just quietly a genuinely top class opening spell from Boult today IMO. Obviously they weren't pressured into taking any risks so he was never going to get smashed unless he bowled rubbish, but he was accurate and threatening regardless. He's been a bit like Guptill in that his patchy form has gone under the radar a bit due to the focus on fringe players who need to perform to win starting eleven of squad spots.
