This may be a defendable total. The trick is to get a few wickets up front, and then ensure that Ambati Rayudu never gets out.

Honestly feel like the pressure on the lads to perform to garner a spot in the world cup squad has got alot to do with these last few performances...

50 short for mine. A little slower than the other day, but fast outfield and short boundaries = 300 par.

India to get there 5 down in the 48th.

Meh, that doesn't explain why the majority of players who have their spots guaranteed have also played like ****.

Sometimes **** happens, especially in limited overs cricket, and especially against teams that are marginally better than you.

No different for Indian individual players in that respect, that's an insanely competitive environment vying for that WC squad.

The interview Stead gave the other day bascially implied that CdG is a lock for the squad as he is the "incumbent".
Yeah, but Stead is a moron with zero balls who is stuck in the 90's with his mate Gavin Larsen. We're five months out from the World Cup and one of our opening batsman is Colin Munro and one of our opening bowlers is Tim Southee. Our five and six have no power game at all and whoever bats at seven is likely to get carted for 8+ runs an over.

It's a total mess.

I agree mate, they are definitely a level above. I feel so silly now browsing the Aussie India thread with glee whilst those boys were being thrashed.
We are being absolutely thrashed. Respect to the Indian lads.
