etbf Bairstow's strike rate is 25 this innings.
It's not what @chris.hinton promised me. I took his predictions at face value and expected England to have a first innings lead after 27 overs. Am disappoint.
even when complimenting us, can't resist getting a dig in, can you?For sure.
The development of he and Shami, with Ishant improving the past few years followed by Siraj and back up from Nostrils is what's made India so competitive in all conditions. They've got real depth in fast bowling now and it compliments Ashwin & Jadeja. Depending on the venue, they've got two or three first rate spinners to play, then when they have to play in real conditions and only one spinner is needed, they've got properly good quicks to bring in and rotate through the line up. It's what sets this era for them apart from earlier sides who had good or great spinners but would have their quicks let the pressure off. Doesn't happen these days any more.
TBF, in real conditions, Shami is an absolute powerhouse as well alongside the spinners. For sure.

That is just so e.tbf Bairstow's strike rate is 25 this innings.

do we have any others of this caliber coming up the ranks through domestic cricket?TBF, in real conditions, Shami is an absolute powerhouse as well alongside the spinners.
Also, while I think Shami is very very good, he is the kind of bowler who needs others around him to be more accurate and threatening as he can often go the "one ball at your legs" or "the unlucky length" and sometimes both in the same spell. He will never really be watertight and on the odd times he is, he will not be bowling the length that is more likely to get wickets. But as an enforcer or however people see that role, he can be magnificent. This is why the post 2016 Ishant and Bumrah joining the line up was so immense for him. Siraj has been absolute find too obviously. And we still have Lord and Chahar among the swing bowlers who can come in and also add a bit of battinng ability at 8.
Not that difficult when we're all in the kitchen together.and so the pot and the kettle meet at last eh
Yeah he’s a bit like Starc in that regard, though I think he’s better. But they both benefit from the other two around them to keep a lid on thingsTBF, in real conditions, Shami is an absolute powerhouse as well alongside the spinners.

Davo…For no particular reason related to anything discussed recently in this thread, I've just seen that Anderson has 74 wickets at 27.67 in Asia. That makes him the 3rd highest wicket taker at the 15th best average among SENWA pace bowlers in Asia. The "W" is included cos it's a bit **** that we always leave the Windies out.

Prasidh Krishna has come up the ranks.. Rest all are on T20 diet as of now. With no A tours.do we have any others of this caliber coming up the ranks through domestic cricket?
Yep, it’s like people have goldfish memories or didn’t actually watch much of the New Zealand series, at least up to the end of the second match innings. And FFS it’s not as if the Indian batting “formula” in this match has been much different. For Bairstow, substitute Pant.Didn't take long for people to evacuate the Bazball train. Only half an innings.
And tbh this exact situation happened almost every game last series. It's right now England playing like memes gets them parity.
Or 132 all out again like at Lord's. Will be fun regardless.
Stokes needs a good knock. Been disappointing on the whole since his return imo, getting himself out a lot.Stokes and Bairstow 300 run partnership at 6 rpo incoming
