*Official* India Tour of England 2018

Harsh, he was injured last match. And this pitch is not turning at all so at least he is keeping it under 1.5 an over
Maybe, but he has 2 good innings with the bat, 2 with the ball - that's it. He's back to his funky old ways - seam, carrom ball, teesra etc. His tricks usually don't work beyond a game or two, also notice that Edgbaston spun, so there was lots on offer in the first test.
Yeah, at the very least Ashwin never lets up pressure when it's not his turn to strike in overseas Tests. Helps build pressure - sometimes you've got to be content with that being your role.

I mean, I think he can afford to attack a bit more with Ali at the crease, but he gets his role in the team and how it changes really well.
You forgot Lord's or other tests in the past?

Ashwin's doing this weird thing where he's occasionally firing in really full deliveries from time to time. It's not like he's losing his length it looks like an actual tactic. Don't really know what purpose it serves though

It's like a stuck record England's batting line-up. You just know the middle to lower order will bail them out. Was pulling hairs out last summer because we were then torn apart by someone called Toby Roland-Jones.

If every England batsman could be hypnotized into thinking they're already 5 down when they come in to bat, they'd get 500 every time.

Was reading an article on how Graham Ford helped identify and mould Sam Curran's talent at Surrey. Ford under-rated in how he did the same at Natal with Rhodes/Pollock/Klusener and then tried to do the same for Sri Lanka. Great coach. Curran looks a potential test number 6 at least.
