*Official* India Tour of England 2018

Borges

International Regular
Well played!
Exorcised the ghosts of the last series, and hopefully make a lot of people on Cricketweb shut up about his record in England for good! Well, shut up, at least for a while.

International Debutant
Fair play to Kholi, got a huge slice of luck in the first test on 21, but since then he's been absolutely supreme. Root take note, this is how you're supposed to be batting for a player of your quality. Nice patient innings that just keeps going and going and going.

Aussies, imagine what he's going to do later this year after his last failed series in India against you guys...

Nah he’ll be crocked by then. The English fielders doing God’s work.

Fair review that, was all prepared to bag him but it was reasonable because it came back a long way.

Ffs. Root at 2nd slip, Stokes at gully, problem (almost solved). It’s turning into a farce.
They were talking about this on TMS, saying that apparently neither of them wants to field in those positions. The response of the other commentator was why on earth doesn't the coach just tell them that's where they're fielding? Their personal preferences are pretty much irrelevant. And obviously I have a fair amount of sympathy for that view.. Whilst I'm sick of the sight of Jennings missing anything that comes near him, in one sense he's the fall guy for the failure of the coach to take a stronger line with some of the prima donnas in the side.

4th time past 50 in this series for Kohli (obviously the hundred here & nearly the twins) but only Gavaskar in 1979 with 5 has there been Indian batsmen past 50 in a test series in England more times before.

Dunno if I buy this, tbh. Bayliss isn’t someone who’ll just let the boys run him ragged, team is paramount to a fella like him.

Plenty of time for Kohli to pass Gavaskar's record then. He did it in a 4 test series iirc.
I still blame Malan; if he hadn't dropped that sitter on 21 at Edbaston. Kohli'd not have been up and running.

The guy on TMS said that it was Bayliss who had said this. At least, I think he did; I was half asleep at the time.
