This is a good XI. Pujara shouldn't feel too bad...someone had to miss out between Dhawan, Rahul and Pujara and Pujara has been the only one out of those 3 been given a consistent run over the past couple of seasons. Getting dropped once, on the basis of poor form (in fact, shocking) in domestic cricket + warm up matches is actually a fair case to drop him. He can't feel too gutted about that/think its an unfair decision.

This is isn't like dropping Rahane or Bhuvi in SA. Dang that still hurts thinking about it.

The only argument to be made was Pujara over Dhawan. Problem is that Dhawan's just scored a hundred before lunch in his last test. Although he's failed overseas, he's always only been given a test or two before he's been dropped or replaced. Give him a good series and if he fails then drop him for KL Rahul for good.

Yeah, this is pretty decent selection actually. Would have preferred Pujara over Dhawan but won't complain too much
