not much it seems. he has disappointed thus far.

dravid dropped. told you guys that he is a passenger. when is he going to prove me wrong?? never?
Pretty impressive FC record, this Mukund chap. How much can we read into that?
I think when he gets going he scores big (a century every third FC match). But he may need more than the usual level of 'getting in' before he is comfortable.

I think Mukund's feet are moving ok. He gets into nice positions. It's just that he swings across the line while driving.

Dravid dropped.

Tempted to say it can be costly, but can't be sure with Dravid these days :(.
Yeah. :(

Lovely shot there from Mukund. He looks really, really nervous out there, in an almost unhealthy kind of way.

Nah his front foot is not moving much at all.

He is almost half hearted when he goes to drive.

Rate of scoring has really slowed down the last 6/7 overs.

Mukund's front foot is moving better now, though.

Except that they're not committing suicide when faced with a decent leggie...

I like the cut of this kid's jib actually

I think Mukund would actually be a better no.3 than an opener. Maybe he was just nervous but he was looking poor initially when there was movement. Seems to be pretty much at ease now.

He hasn't showed any class thus far though, unlike pujara, kohli and the likes.

Mukund is usually a modrately attacking opener at domestic level. Likes to play the grounded shots.
Still seems to be not confident enough to play his fluid shots.

Got to remember also he just arrived in West Indies a few days back and has had no match practice. In fact he did not play in the IPL either ,so lacked match practice of any decent level for months now.

That's why he should have been picked for the ODI's too.

Gambhir when he started out at International level was even less classy.

In fact he still isn't the most stylish of batsman and gets targetted sometimes on here because of that ,unfairly.

All 3 of Mukund's boundaries have been nice shots.
