They may have wanted to give Vijay a chance in the middle order instead of opening. Badri was replaced by him and they brought in a specialist opener. Thats what I think at least

In the 4th ODI Manoj Tiwary came in for Dhawan, and then Dhawan has returned for Badrinath in the 5th ODI.

Good captaincy there from Sammy to take himself off after only one over. It's the type of thing bowling captains often struggle with, but it worked out really well there.

The dropping of Badrinath suggests to me he's not going to play tests, because surely they'd let him play another dead rubber if he going to play the first test.

Kohli and Raina likely to come in for Sachin and Pujara.

This is a testing wicket. I like it.

Big challenge for the Indian youngsters. Struggling so far but I don't exactly rate Patel and Dhawan.

More interested to see how Kohli, Sharma and Tiwary go on this.

Really need a partnership here. I don't want yet another limp batting display from India. Tiwary threw away a good opportunity here.

What we have not seen so far this ODI series is to top that off with a Dhoni/Yusuf type of cameo. There has not been a situation for it, and Yusuf has failed and top order wickets falling (+ the captaincy?) has meant Raina needing to be restrained.
