*Official* - India in West Indies

PK certainly not helping his case for being picked in England =/

If only he took his batting as seriously as Bhajji has over the last few years.
My humble input would be that a no. 9 batsman shouldn't be judged for this batting indiscretions. A pep talk would perhaps help, but if he is to be dropped/selected for England, then that has to be because of his primary skill.

You guys are too pessimistic.

India are already favorites for me with the lead as much it is already.

Yeah that was a terrible shot especially because India are in a position where an extra 30-40 runs would provide just that perfect cushion. Let's hope that Mishra shows a bit more application. India probably has enough but a 300 target would be nice as of course would be a Dravid hundred.

Whatever the result, India have not batted well in this game.
Except when Raina and Bhaji were batting together. India have a knack of playing down to their opposition and doing just enough to win and I expect this game will be no different.

This pitch is a minefield now with both turn and bounce. If Bhaji and Mishra can't defend whatever target India set it will be a massive failure.

Dravid is batting beautifully ATM, looks so comfortable while on the other hand he was really scratchy and struggling to work the ball into the gaps in the first session. Hopefully Mishy can stick around.

It's a bit of a fail that we have batted out 80 overs and scored so slowly. It's tough work, but would have expected at least around 30 more runs.

Yes he is looking like the Dravid of old. If Dravid can regain his best form and Praveen emerge as a quality test bowler, this series will have been the perfect prelude to the England tour.

Fluently strokes the ball into the offside and turns down the single.

And now a very un-Dravid like 4. If he gets a ton here, it will be among his best ever knocks.

Nice shot by Mishra.

He has pretty good technique for a number 10. Can seriously be very useful with the bat too if he works on it.

Would like a few of the youngsters to gun it too and Mishra and Harbhajan getting into real form. Ishant has already shown positives too.

If PK could reach a Harby like batting level (or even close to it) then you could make a decent case for 5 bowlers. Perhaps not necessarily for England, but in places like Australia 5 bowlers is a pretty legitimate option. Harby - Pk - Munaf - Zak - Ishant. Munaf has always been good as a 3rd seamer on away tours (he gave really good support in NZ 09). And if Ishant can get that zing back in him it could very well work out.

Munafs fitness is heaps suspect for at test match and he still is a bit one dimensional.

Don't think you can rely on Harbhajan to bat at 7 to consistently.

Which is why I said if PK could reach a Harby like batting level.

That's a fair idea. It could also work on benign pitches where you'd want three pacers and two spinners to get 20 scalps. Irfan could also feature in the grander scheme of things.

Aarggh.. timed it so well and straight to the fielder. :@ Could have been a boundary.
