His Test average is poor, but it would be less poor had he not been picked so early for the West Indies. He was picked as a teenager IIRC, and on the evidence of one FC hundred. He then struggled to score a run at all in South Africa.

I have constantly been frustrated by Daren Ganga, but I believe that he is a better player now than in past years. The captaincy of T&T has done a lot for him, and the most important thing (which was clear today) is that he is more positive at the crease.

I think he did enough today to get another Test cap.
