I like your line up, though there's perhaps a danger of getting bogged down if Shiv and Morton are together for a while early in the innings. Be interesting to see how Morton fares against Pathan's in-swing, though I assume he handled Franklin ok in NZ.Mr Mxyzptlk said:My preferred team:

RS Morton
BC Lara (C)
RR Sarwan

CS Baugh (wk)
DR Smith
IDR Bradshaw
JE Taylor
FH Edwards
I hear that Sabina Park is quicker now than it's been in recent years, so it could be interesting to see Edwards and Taylor on it.
I think Chanderpaul is right back in form. I was hesitant at first, but he played so beautifully at the end of that 93 the other day, and then batted superbly in the two ODIs in Trinidad to follow it. I don't think he will get bogged down significantly, because Chanderpaul in form keeps the strike rotating and dispatches the bad balls - the Indian seamers will give bad balls occasionally.garage flower said:I like your line up, though there's perhaps a danger of getting bogged down if Shiv and Morton are together for a while early in the innings. Definitely no Samuels even though the middle order does look very brittle and I guess Mohammed would be a big gamble against India. I was thinking either Edwards or Taylor to play, but with Collymore p'raps still feeling his way back a bit I could see them picking both - particularly on a fast track.
He is The Great One in more senses than one. Look at his kindness and generosity towards the lesser beings.TT Boy said:Scary stuff if you are an Indian supporter...

Not content with teaching Dennis Lillee to bowl, Agarkar has now become the elder statesman to the young Indian fast bowlers, expect them to go down hill rapidly!
I would take one more batter ahead of RP Singh. He is just not in good enough form at the moment, looks a little more wayward than usual. And I have faith in Yuvi and Sehwag's bowling abilities. And the sooner we test out Raina's bowling, the better. AS Chappell said, if they are not going to be tested under pressure, then when are they gonna be tested?adharcric said:Powar is out and Sreesanth is questionable. Unless we go in with only four bowlers, either Uthappa or Kaif will have to be left out. Personally, I don't imagine Dravid expecting Yuvraj, Sehwag and Raina to complete ten overs without being targetted; if Sachin was there, things would be better. Anyways, how does this look?
Virender Sehwag
Rahul Dravid
Mohammad Kaif
Yuvraj Singh
Suresh Raina
MS Dhoni
Irfan Pathan
Ajit Agarkar
Harbhajan Singh
Munaf Patel
RP Singh
On the basis of being belted for 5 runs an over (on average)? Sehwag's economy rate is well over 5.honestbharani said:And I have faith in Yuvi and Sehwag's bowling abilities.

When Dennis was trying to make a comeback after the back operation, he came over to Bombay.silentstriker said:When did he try to teach Lillee how to bowl? Oh man, if thats true......that goes on my list of all-time moments.
No it was a joke, there was a pic of AA talking to Lillee, and people said it was AA teaching Lillee how to bowl lolsilentstriker said:When did he try to teach Lillee how to bowl? Oh man, if thats true......that goes on my list of all-time moments.
Dennis was honoured that he gave him just a few moments of his time.silentstriker said:When did he try to teach Lillee how to bowl? Oh man, if thats true......that goes on my list of all-time moments.
Now we know why Lillee's subcontinent record was so poor.marc71178 said:Dennis was honoured that he gave him just a few moments of his time.
I've been advocating trying out Raina with 3 to 4 overs but they never do it. If they are willing to do so, I'm all for 6 specialist batsmen in addition to Pathan, Munaf, Harbhajan and RP Singh. I think they'll include AA over Venu/Uthappa though. With everyone fit, the side looks really good.honestbharani said:I would take one more batter ahead of RP Singh.
