Sachin is obviously a great, great player (notice the emphasis lads) but he gets hit on the pads a hell of a lot early in his innings on wickets that do even the slightest bit.

That being the case, you have to expect he'll get the odd roughie because the bowlers are appealing quite a lot and the umps are only human

Yep, very true, and it happens a lot more nowadays than it did 10 years back (as one would expect).

I imagine his eye is simply not as good as it once was. His balance is still great, his timing is still wonderful, so when he actually gets the flick off his legs working, it is second to none.

But he misses more than he has ever. Only natural I guess.

Fernando no-ball crazy as usual. Good to see Gambhir punish his garbage.

How many years has this guy been playing, still can't keep his foot behind the line!

Ah well, Gambhir was dropped anyway.

Have a feeling Viru's in for a biggie today. May get on him to make 50+ runs.

Sri Lanka's fielding in this series has been terrible.

As for Fernando, his taking the piss - 3 no-balls so far and he hasn't even bowled two overs. You would think he would sorted that out by now, his been bowling them since I was at secondary school and that was a long time ago.

Gambhir unlucky there but he should have been gone last over.

It's a pity seeing Dilhara bowl so many no-balls. He's bowling very fast (the fastest in the series), getting a few straight ones, but spoiling his chances with no-balls. He has, however, acquitted himself with that run-out and a leg-before.

Two early wickets isn't much of a concern, given the Indians have got off to a quick start. They have batting till seven, to keep themselves in the hunt.

Yuvi looking good.

Wish I could watch this. Bloody exam (probably good thing Sachin went out early otherwise I'd probably have kept watching, and failed tmr )
