Kohli has allergy to batsmen who don't try to hit a boundary every over.FFS.. Why do they not rate Pujara? Isn't he a much better prospect than Sharma. Actaully he is, every way you look at it, he's even got the age factor in his favour.

I did watch that interview lol, which is exactly why I said what I said, I want him to go big and then laugh at them when they go "oh Pujara knows he has to do whats best for the team, we don't have space cuz our regular openers are back etc" by the time the SA series comes around.Even if he scores a 100,if Nohit scores even a 30 he will be in. Check out the full interview by Virat. He basically said Pujara will be out of the team once the regular openers come back. Now if Rahul also scores big runs, THEN he would be in a soup to play Nohit as well as his favorite 5 bowlers...
LOL nah, Rohit was much much worse despite Pujara's failures. Pujara batted @ 3 in England so he was almost always in early on the toughest conditions, then in Australia he played reasonably well despite not having the runs to show for it, being sawn off after the ball hit his helmet and then getting a ripper from Johnson which no one can really do anything about.tbf, Pujara was a let down just as much as Rohit has been overseas in the last couple of years. One decent series against SA IIRC, and then nothing since.
rohit's got that intent in that once he reaches 30 he tries to accelerate and does something stupid to get out.Kohli has allergy to batsmen who don't try to hit a boundary every over.
He didn't play that well in Australia tbh. That he scored as many runs as he did is a testament to his temperament; at no stage did he look especially fluent.LOL nah, Rohit was much much worse despite Pujara's failures. Also decent against SA? He was the top scorer on either side, after which Steyn said " I'll remember the wicket of Pujara for a while, he's a good batsman as well."
Ultimately, the five bowler strategy will be dropped if Binny doesn't bat well. Also, don't bank on Rohit too long in the test team any way. Karun Nair is knocking on the doors.Even if he scores a 100,if Nohit scores even a 30 he will be in. Check out the full interview by Virat. The point is that he didn't exactly shame himself in those 6 innings he had in Australia, out of which 1 was a wrong decision and one was Johnson bowling the ball of the series to him. Quite frankly I'm not very big on who looks better or more technically correct and fluent, for me it's about run scoring and Pujara didn't look nearly as bad as Kohli did in England. India's previous #3 was never the most fluent player either. He didn't play that well in Australia tbh. Yeah mentioned this earlier too, but it was Pujara who made sure we didn't collapse on a seaming greentop in the first session which allowed Rahane to capitalize afterwards. He was crucial in the Lords win as well
