Dhammika carried the whole attack and took so much load. A lot of people would have broken down by today. Even after the shoulder stretch in the first over he has carried on despite visible discomfort on all days of this test. He has been more than a raw pacer in the sense that he kept bowling over after over which an express pacer just can't do. It's been so much more than the stats can show - Dhammika's efforts in the series.

Stuart Binny's overall first class average is just 34 but has improved as a batsman last 3-4 years.

In 2013/14 averaged 49 in 11 innings,
In 2012/13 averaged 39 in 16 innings
In 2011/12 averaged 66 in 12 innings
In 2010/11 averaged 48 in 10 innings.

Roughly averages around 45-50 in these four seasons you would think. Bats high up the order and is regarded as specialist batsmen. I am quite happy with him in the side given how he has bowled if he can keep scoring these runs. Amit Mishra and Ashwin coming into bat later gives enough cushion to have Binny if he can average around 35. I agree with Marc around 27 would be too low. We probably need an Ojha ahead of Saha as long as Ojha can replicate his FC batting too.

I am not saying Kohli is a bad batsman tbf. Coming to the point, he has two major weaknesses right now. He is playing too far outside off stump firstly. Secondly, he is jabbing at balls too much. For the first issue, he needs to leave more balls and for the second, as Gavaskar said right now, he needs to slow down his bad speed for tests. Now, these are easier said than done. It's a far bigger issue to have than say some one who has issues with short balls. Today, people exploit a weakness no end once they find out about it and these are issues he is having inherent in his batting style.

Kohli is one of the most promising players around as he is technically sound and a very talented player. However, slowly, he needs to get these two things out of his game. I am not sure he can get them out completely but enough to not hurt him like it is like now. As far as I am concerned, he should look at scoring singles and twos while he gets these out of his game. It's easier said than done but given how good Kohli is, I think he we get around it with hard work and effort.

Noticed this trend last game too. Does not come across good on field captain to me. Lets pressure go easily.

If Rohit and Kohli were only going to score 50-odd or so (and Kohli didn't even get that), they needed Binny and Ojha to chip in. They've done that, and we should be good as gold now (last words etc etc.)

Good team effort today.
