Do you guys think a draw is more likely than a Lankan win? Odds show Ind fav, then draw then Lankan win. Seems weird.

Whatever it takes!!!
negativity in this thread isn't coming from me.

I reckon its downright sad that many of you deep down want Rohit to fail tomorrow imo.

No one wants Nohit to fail... But many just think he is taking away a spot from a more deserving and better batsman in this format through the odd pretty 30s and 50s which happen to have 1 or more entries in the 6s column and then being woeful rest of the time ...

Surely they can't keep Rohit with Pujara's innings?

Amazing how both India and Sri Lanka have regressed in terms of quality compared to their past teams. Neither side has any outstanding pacers, neither do they have batsman that can bat in all conditions and surfaces. However, both their spin attacks and fielding is of top notch. To be fair, all of the other teams bar Bangladesh are also going down in quality. Sad state of Cricket today.

Kohli made it clear before the match that Pujara would be dropped going forward and that he would understand because he "was a professional". They could change their minds after this match, who knows, but it looks like Rohit is going to be persisted with.

Threat of rain maybe. Not sure what the forecast is like except that there's supposed to be rain around all 5 days.

yeah true, but its weird. I mean if Kohli goes out first over tmr we're so close to all out for 160 or so.

I guess if that happens, they still do not back SL to get those runs... They expect India to be bundled out tomm probably but they still expect to SL to fold up for lesser than the target if the rain stays away. Of course, with the threat of rain around, they are probably making draw the second favorite result.

Not suggesting they are right about this, of course. But I can kinda see where those odds are coming from.

Thought he was being picked as an all rounder? If he's only a 5th bowler you'd want at least 10 more runs on that average (unless you're a fan of England mid 90s and the Ronnie Irani's of the world).
Ideally, yes. This is why we traditionally pick the sixth batsman instead of this sort of a player.

I think with the way this pitch is playing, 250 and we win.

A Rohit ton would be huge but at 3 down, I think 50 each from Kohli and Rohit would be massive.
