*Official* India in South Africa

What happens if Dhoni promotes himself up the order and blasts a quick 100 here? Would India go for the win say if they need 100 runs off 15 overs in the end?
Lol if the stuff you said can happen, 100/15 shouldn't be a big issue :p

Indeed. South Africa have undoubtedly played the better kallisball over the course of the series, but Test kallisball doesn't work like that. I'm sure India would've been happier with 1-1 at the start of the series than South Africa.
The use of the word just makes every post twice as good.

Leg spinners are not effective against India. Some other team, sure, but SA shouldn't make a mistake and make him debut against India and lose confidence.
He'd do a job here but Harris did a job in the first innings when Tahir probably would have got smashed.

Possibly....

But the Saffers probably should think about giving Tahir a debut later this year. He seems to be bowling better than Harris in the Supersport series going on now, too.

Is it just me or are SA really shockingly poor at going for the kill since Australia?

They blundered 2 tests against England by being too conservative, and now look like blundering this test. For all the good Kallisball that they play, they sure don't have the results to back it up.

Smith has a bowler with the best strike ever, he must assume SA can bowl out teams in 20 overs

A little bit. They definitely made mistakes in being too conservative but if you watched the games last year they were damn unlucky too with some of the wicketless spells Dale Steyn bowled on those final days. Pitches weren't exactly bowler-friendly either.

There's much more to criticise about their performance here today.

Smith bowling himself now. Desperation time?
I think that move, more than any other, says how impotent Harris is on a pitch that helped Harbhajan so much....

Was hoping we'd have a fair crack at this but can understand the metality here. Finishing 1-1 especially after the first test would be a good result. This one's nowhere near over yet though when you have Steyn around.
