Right, but could he step up in the place of Dravid in the current situation? Kapil Dev and you might think so, but I'm not so sure - he has no captaincy experience.Dravid said:Dhonis played enough to be vice captain I believe. No one else would make a better vice captain than him.
Laxman should play as long as he arrives in South Africa on time. One report said that he would arrive a few hours before the match, which is ridiculous IMO.Perm said:Do you think VVS Laxman will get a go in the nextb ODI? Or is it just a replacement so that the squad isn't short of numbers?
More like Inzi is folowing Sachin's footsteps. Inzi has only been batting poorly very recently, and is coming off his best season of batting production wise. Sachin has been pretty poor for a while now. It wouldn't be too harsh to say that he's only being selected on reputation right now, of which he rightfully has quite a bit to fall back on. Don't know about a "No Loyalty XI" though.Turbinator said:He's following in Inzi's footsteps...
I'm assuming you're talking about tests, because Sachin has been alright in ODIs apart from the latest patch of bad run.shortpitched713 said:More like Inzi is folowing Sachin's footsteps. How many times have you said this in the last two weeks or so? Don't need an exact count, you can tell me how many dozen.adharcric said:For Raina, it will be the last chance ... unless he does well.
Yes. Although you can tell he really isn't the same force in ODIs anymore either. Not saying he should be dropped though.adharcric said:I'm assuming you're talking about tests
OMG! What is wrong with you people!? Sachin hasn't been out of form for a while because in that while, he has played far less matches than he would because of injury. In ODI, his form was fine, he dropped in tests without scoring runs in the last 11 innings. He was getting runs before the last 11 innings. Seriously before you say Sachin has been out of form for a while, go search his figures.shortpitched713 said:More like Inzi is folowing Sachin's footsteps. Before the tour began, I said that the tour would be the last chance for Raina.shortpitched713 said:How many times have you said this in the last two weeks or so? Don't need an exact count, you can tell me how many dozen.
Again, on the basis of what?LA ICE-E said:well ganguly should have been chosen over laxman to be the replacement IMO
he's in form 100 and a 43 on a tough pitch and he has the ability to lead the team when dravids absent and he has more experience that laxman and could be involved in their future plans...there's already 1 dravid, laxman is just another slow bastmen...plus im just a fan on ganguly so my opinion on this is bit bias...Dravid said:Again, on the basis of what?
Bias or no bias, you must know...there have been players who have been in better form than Ganguly. If one 100 is enough to get you into the team, then about 10 other players should be in the squad too.LA ICE-E said:he's in form 100 and a 43 on a tough pitch and he has the ability to lead the team when dravids absent and he has more experience that laxman and could be involved in their future plans...there's already 1 dravid, laxman is just another slow bastmen...plus im just a fan on ganguly so my opinion on this is bit bias...
