Yup, expect him to raise his bat after he gets it. I remember 2-3 years back Agarkar raised his back after he got 1 run against the Australians...his highest score against the Aussies then. It was a test match

Without going into the stats, and please correct me if im wrong but to me India seem to have big problems chasing a target! ive noticed it since probably the last WC final, Tendulkar esp seems to get out early more when india are chasing.
Just something i have picked up on but could be wrong :)

Sorry but I must go into stats. India chased down 18 consecutive targets, a world record, earlier this year.

I love the idea to play two keepers though. Apparently there are no specialist batsman left in India.
If its good enough for the team kicking India's backside it should be good enough for India :)

That should be an interesting stat to see.

Except that team can bowl. And bat. And field. Aside from those three, its spot on.

Well it seems like India will defend through out the innings. Dravid cant hit the ball hard, and if he tries it doesnt work out. Karthik doesnt want to get of the mark, so I don't know what else to say but expect a long boring inning unless South Africans cut it short

I think Dravid's mindset is about the last thing thats wrong with this innings. And no offense, its idiotic comments like that (oh he bats too slow) that sometimes make me want to turn the mouth of many Indian fans into a bunch of chicklets.

EDIT: I know you probably didn't mean it like that.

Dude chill, I'm just playing around. I know what Dravid can do and can't do. I've seen him in his ups and downs.

Anyway as far as Karthik goes....new HS..4*

Then i apologise for being wrong :)
I was probably thinking of specific matches.

Sachin when batting second in ODIS has made two fifties in two years.

**** what a shot by Karthik for six. Atleast something good coming out for India from this inning. Played good shots for the six and four he got

He averages 44.55 batting 2nd, just higher than his career average. He has scored fifteen centuries but has also been dismissed for a duck 12 times. However in his last 15 innings batting 2nd however he averages just 28.71 and hasn't scored a century.

And I am saying his "down" is not when he bats "too slow". Because he rarely does.
