Funny how some Indian fans here think SA easily one the first day, when almost every commentator felt it was dead even, and had Laxman not fallen right at the end it would have been India's day.

Dhoni and Ganguly's partnership tomorrow will be massive. If they can put on even 50-70 runs, India can get 300.

If only Laxman didn't go out.
It was even because if you look at the pitch, it's not a 400 runs pitch. The ball is moving a lot off the seam, which showed effective in Jaffers wicket, and Pollock was getting decent amount of swing with the old ball. That's why I said Sachin played a good inning, considering the pitch.

It is dead even now and if India can go past 250 then it's still game on.

LOT depends on how our bowlers go here. I have seen Indian bowlers squander away the advantage on good bowling pitches before. Our bowling has been doing well under some tough bowling conditions but now, we will have to see if our bowling can hold up under the pressure of having to bowl under helpful conditions.

is the pitch a minefield or something that 156 for 5 is a decent score and ending up on 225 would be considered to be good? it is a genuine question because i am not watching the match...
Theres a lot of uneven bounce. I remember there was a ball which was a front foot ball, and dravid went to go defend it, but it bounced up so high that it hit him just under his arm pit. And then there were couple of balls to Dravid and Tendulkar that were short, but stayed really low, while some other ones that were short bounced up really high.

Plus lot of movement of the seam, and all. Bad light at times, not the best conditions to bat in.

For sure the bowling is important too. Zaheer and Kumble are in great form and VRV did really good in the warm up so atleast we have some kind of form in our bowlers.

say a bit of India batting early yesterday morning, conditions looked tricky for batting. Dravid & Tendulkar looked good disappointed to see none of them didn't carry on.

Look mate, Dhoni got out to a blinder of a catch from Pollock. Surely, you can't expect Kumble to always hang around against quality bowling mate. We'll be fine mate.

Owned. Zaheer and Sreesanth gone. Ganguly should go in attack mode and somehow try to cross 225 by himself.

EDIT: Great little cameo here from VRV.

Zaheer my boy! SS, get your ass back here so you can see the Indian seamers take wickets you **** ... 8-)
Let him stay off. Don't wanna jinx them. And Sreesanth picks up another. 5-3...I'm loving it.
