***Official*** India in South Africa 2021-22

Not gonna blame Smith to much for this... I don't know for sure but I suspect that its his good work that allowed this tour to go ahead. He is respected by many of the higher ups in the boards. I do also think an effort is being made with regards to the womens games.
I expect more then an effort when one is the highest paid individual at CSA..I expect actual proper preparation and adequate games for both the men and the ladies.

They respect him because of his playing career not because he is a great DOC.

Know this isn't related to India v South Africa but as he coached both teams wanted to get a perspective on Kirsten's suitability for the England job

Not at all. I think their current crop of batters are really talented. They also went for the win and things would have been a lot different had Elgar continued for just a little bit longer. The pacers not turning up on first half of Day 1 cost them the game.
Their current crop of batsmen are idiots. No talent whatsoever

The toss was actually quite important here. Reflects well on the SA fans that they’re not whinging about it, I know I’d be.

Anyways Bavuma looked like SA’s best bat imo. Honestly a 35 averaging bat is hardly the worst thing these days.

Doesn't even average 35 though and no centuries in half a decade as a middle order bat. The question is can Bavuma be capable of more?

The answer is no btw.
