People rarely remember them. Smith got a hundred against Pakistan at Gabba last year and was dropped when he was on 60 something. He was also out caught behind earlier in the innings but no one heard it and Pak didn't review.

Pretty sure Tendulkar was dropped or was out and was not given against South Africa in 2010. It's considered one of his best knocks. No one remembers. It all balances out in the end.

These are just the one at the top of my head.
Smith was dropped about half a dozen times in that Pune knock too, still an incredible innings.

Drops happen to everyone, you just tend to notice it more with "big" players because obviously they're much less likely to give you another shot. Also why people say the "rub of the green" tends to go with sides on the ascendancy too - nah, they just give you fewer chances. No one really cares if you drop a few catches if you're creating 25-30 chances a game anyway.

Shouldn't there be an early start today to try and get as many overs in as possible. The over-rate was trash before the rains too.
The sun sets much later in Cape Town compared to other places in South Africa. Sometimes around 8pm local time. I suppose we are going to have a later finish.

I just saw Scuba Steve. WTF? Is this guy really going to watch the game in a wetsuit (and other stuff). Can any South Africans shed some light on this bloke?

Shame we didn't get to bowl a bit yesterday... might have been excellent conditions for Bhuvi. Hope it does a bit atleast early on.
