Yeah not sure India when they travel can afford to carry a guy like Saha who while a good glovesman isn't someone I back to score many runs. That sort of wicket keeper isn't really wanted these days.
He's good enough to be a number 7 behind a proper no.6 like Rohit or Rahane. It's precisely why I'm one of the few on here who has never backed the 5 bowler strategy overseas.

I was fully on the "do we really have no one better than Saha" bandwagon a year or so back, but he has made some vital contributions with the bat lately. And his keeping is very tidy. With our slip catching being as pathetic as it is, we definitely can't afford a poor keeper as well.

Also, India gave an additional 30-40 runs at the end. If sa had got out for <250, this match would have still been alive.

C'mon Bhuvi.. just block and let Pandya take the risks at the other end. Don't go playing airy-fairy drives.

WAFG. Top 50. Safe to say this is one selection which has been a success atleast so far. Thought he bowled alright too.

Sending tailenders to open in the second innings would be a good tactic. Not gonna happen obviously.

I would never drop Saha on an overseas tour. You need a top class keeper who cannot drop catches. If he can't bat, then make adjustments in your batting line up, don't pick LO heroes who don''t have test credentials but a tidy keeper is absolutely essential. Think of Kamran/Sarfraz for Pakistan and the matches they have cost their team with their keeping
