Kohli is ridiculously vulnerable early on to that kind of ball. Needs to fix this.

Morne bang on target to Kohli first up. Could possibly have left it, probably should have. Huge test now for Rohit, lot if criticism about his selection but a joy to watch if he gets in, that’s not going to be easy though.
There have been a few like that today - Amla, Faf, to an extent Elgar. Gotta wonder if both teams are a little low on preparation.

It really is a relentless attack here. There’s literally not let up, when Rabada comes on as second change! Fantastic to watch.

There is a reason why this is the only side that consistently wins in Australia and has the best overall away record in the last 10 years. Just an exceptional exceptional bowling attack.

This will be a horrid tour for the Indian batsmen. Not such a good idea playing a year at home followed by a year overseas.

Yes there has been a few and I guess there always will be loose shots in an innings, I think with the SA batsmen the ball was doing a lot in that first session and so maybe they were a little scrambled in their thinking, but it really didn’t look easy to bat at that stage. I’d be more critical of Amla’s shot (ha, like I could’ve done any better!) than either Elgar or Faf.

I think you might be absolutely right with the low preparation for the Indians.

And batting in all conditions.

That last test in sri lanka when we batted o. The last day to save the game was as good as it gets imo.
