Only until Alviro scores runs against you do you truly understand the other fans frustrations when he scores runs.

Yeah you can really feel the game slipping away, especially if SA are still none down and you know that after you finally manage to get the bloke who looks like a walking wicket out for 60 or whatever he's already scored, out will come Amla, Kallis and de Villiers. You just don't think of him as a threat at all when contemplating the innings beforehand, so he holds up your real task of getting out the awesome middle order while the scoreboard just ticks over amidst a barrage of leading edges and close lbw shouts. It's more of a feeling of relief than excitement when he goes; like you're finally into the proper game.

Biggest troll of a player.

I still haven't had a good look at Harmer but I think Duminy is seriously under-rated as a bowler. I'd even bat him at seven deliberately and tell him he was in the side as an allrounder; he can bowl, seriously well by current South African spin standards. Obviously they'd have to think about another spinner for some of their overseas Tests, but in South Africa I think four seamers and Duminy is far and away their best balance.
Harmer is also no mug with the bat, so I would love to see him.

Whoever they pick as 4th seamer is a significant drop down from the current 3 - none of De Lange, Abbott or Kleinveldt have really kicked on
If none of those perform over ten tests I'd go for Hendricks. Been phenomenal in first class cricket.

Karan and I backed him in the first innings last game and he repaid our faith. He just needs a bit more love is all.
I backed him too because he was due for around 5 years and everyone expected him to be smashed.
Doesn't mean he's anywhere close to being back, though

Jadeja's bowled more threatening deliveries in his first over than Ashwin did in the entire first Test. Different pitch, obv, but good signs.

If S.A got to 500 and declared and had a real rip at India they could force a result. Key is them batting all day tomorrow and scoring at a good rate. There could be about 100 overs tomorrow so if S.A can pile on 350-70 and then declare lunch day 4 with a lead of 200-250. India would need to bat for a fair number of overs to make the game safe.
