Although I'm (very:D) happy we have won, I am very concerned about the bowling for the next four ODI's and more importantly the Test Matches.

Thank You Nehra! Credit where it is due, he kept his calm well.

Jono mate, I was reading off the painfully slow text commentary of CricInfo.

Still even with dull old text, the match was just too damn entertaining.

Although I will watch the highlights on Fox Sports tomorrow.

Its horrible that Fox Sports aren't showing LIVE coverage.

I can't concentrate on revision, im still shaking!!

One of the greatest matches ever, without a doubt!

Whoever was at the ground today got superb value for money. Sets the tone for the series, i would love every game to be like this but only if India come out on top every time :P

great win for india.....what a fantastic start for the series....can't believe foxtel not showing this match and no one in aus can get doordarshan [indian free to air] because of technical problems..
honestly....foxtel has let us down this time....

I'm beginning to ponder at whether Fox Sports could have a cricket channel. It already has the AFL channel, and AFL is really only immensely popular in Victoria. With the amount of cricket being played world wide these days, a cricket channel or two would work. I'm sure it would garner more ratings since AFL season only happens in winter while cricket technically is happens yearly with international tours. I'm sure today's India/Pakistan match would of gathered huge ratings tonight. Not only from the Indian and Pakistani public living in Australia, but I'm sure many Australians would of switched on to watch it too.

Disappointing but I'm grateful for the highlights.

I missed quite a bit of this match but the highlight for me has been the crowd. Just superb and hope the same trend continues.

What a supeb last over from Nehra :O .

BTW, why were you guys following the text commentary when you could have listened to the audio commentary

Kaif's catch too was one of the best you will ever see. Running from Long off and catching it near Mid on area and that too getting to it faster than the Long On fielder was just amazing

right said mate... with foxtel was going on digital, i was hoping that they will add an extra sport channel [not fuel or euro sport news which doesn't cover cricket] ..but i am dissaponting that they haven't... few weeks ago, i mailed to fox sport if they were showing ind vs pak, they said to me cricket is most watched live sport in all over aus on pay tv...but since ind pak was finalised just in last two weeks...it was impossible for them as they had bought nz v sf series and also aus vs sri series at same time...
most of cricket playing nations can watch ind pak by pay tv.

i think foxtel should add an extra sport channel to cover more cricket and soccer... for eg pay tv network supersport in south africa are currently showing ind Vs pak, sf VS nz, ws VS eng, zim VS ban [surprisingly] plus live domestic matches.... that's unbelivable.....

The match was both superb and disappointing at the same time.
At 10 of 8, it looked safe but It was the fielding of India which did the trick. Tendulkar saved a four and that guy who bats at Six [Forgot name] pulled off a whooper of a catch. The next over some tidy fielding at long leg kept Moin from returning for a second bring Naveed on strike making the chances of a Pakistani win pretty bad.
Great bowling by Nehra. Not only at the death end but also during his spell he was very tidy, even when Yohanna and Inzamam were only a role.
A very good innings by Inzamam. Probably his best one day inning.

Critics and people all over the world have criticized Inzamam for his decision of bowling first; I disagree.
I think it was a fair decision, not only due to the fact that Karachi wicket is always known for being a good chaser track. England chased in excess of 300 here, but also because of the relative weakness of the Indian attack, it gave Pakistan a chance to make ammends if the Pakistani bowling line awry; more of a chance then they would have had if they had finished up with a comparitively lower score and had to defend it infront of a formidble Indian batting lineup on a whooper of a pitch.

Sehwag is a part-timer at best and nothing more.
He's more than a part-time bowler but lesser than an all-rounder. He has excellent control and turns the ball a fair bit on helpful pitches.

Man, that was one of the greatest innings I have ever seen in any form of cricket.

Having watched every ball of that match, I can say that the Indian bowlers didn't do very much wrong. Yes, some bad overs were bowled, but I think it was the inspired effort by Inzamam that got them close, more than anything else.

Kartik redeemed himself(and my faith in him) with two quick wickets. He looped it, flighted it, and got smacked for six a lot. So he changed the gameplan and fired it in at the legs, which kept them quiet for a bit. But then Inzi started to play his wristy hoiks on the leg side, and the Indians had to change tactics again.

It's been a while since I've seen a bowling side manhandled like this. Reminds me of the old Sachin...sigh

Great match. Also very satisfying to see all the busy mouths on this board enjoying the taste of their own feet.
