***Official India in New Zealand***

Yes, but those two have bowled absolute rubbish, especially Mills, full toss after full toss, any team would take that bowling to the cleaners. Also just a point, Vettori is the best oneday bowler in the NZ team by miles, surprised you didn't know that, especially given he's rated no. 1 in the world

Lights are bad at this ground......easy win for India IMO

Rubbish bowling
Vettori is no doubt their best bowler, and they played him with a lot of respect, but Mills and O'Brien are the next best bowlers for this team. Mills, it seems, was coming back after an injury, and bowled several short ones and full-tosses. O'Brien was largely impressive in his first few overs, but once they got settled, they played him with a lot of ease. Butler has a limited-overs average of 40, and may be considered a misfit here, but he's been rather stingy.

I wouldn't expect an easy win for the Indians, because Praveen Kumar isn't an ideal flat pitch bowler, while Munaf is only a little faster than medium pace and there are at least seven free-scoring overs from the part-timers to cash in on. Besides, batting sides often take a liking for Munaf, and score extra runs when he gets around.

With 6 wickets in hand India should be getting a little bump here shouldn't they?
That only works if the entire innings was completed before the number of overs was changed. The only part that will be adjusted will be India's 27/0 after 4.3 overs - they assumed it'd be a 50 over contest when they got that so that part of their total will be increased. Shouldn't be a big difference.

England thought the same thing not so long ago.
NZ were chasing only about 50 more off TWELVE more overs. This score from India is more akin to 360-370 off fifty overs. Can't see us doing it - not by a long shot.

Yeah, thought it worked like that.

I'd say this score is equivalent to chasing about 325 in 50 overs which is quite possible in these conditions.

Praveen Kumar has had an amazing start. He's got McCullum out skying, and Bhajji catches it. Moreover, he's been bowling a lot faster than 'medium-pace'.

Interestingly, we're seeing Zaheer close to the 140k mark here. Is this speed gauge more sensitive?

Who were the people wanting McCullum to go for the runs? Yea, smart move.
