McCullum has scored 13 50's against Test class teams.

This makes his 7th in a loss. Guy is the king of the futile 50.

Someone posted a comment on his blog telling him he wasn't a batsman.

He may have taken it personally .
Probably pulled a Chanderpaul and bought a bowling machine for his house and is fending them off every night. Most likely with his crotch. What a guy.

McCullum really does seem to feel the pressure as soon as he needs to take any sort of responsibility and get a score. eg. his recent foray batting at 5 in tests. Tends to fail when this happens.

When you have one ball to the number 10 batsman, is a high bouncer that he can easily duck under the best option?

Assume and hope Mills will be the only one dropped by NZ for the next match. Of the alternatives:

Arnel gave himself a side strain after bowling 10 balls for ND and hasn't been back since. Don't know how serious it is.

Southee has 0/65 off nineteen overs for ND. Pitch is probably quite flat though.

Patel took a 5-fer.

So based on that Patel will come in for the next match. Personally would prefer Southee on the off-chance that there's some swing around.

Yeah, we always assume that Napier will be a pace bowler's nightmare but Southee took 5 on the first day of the match last year.
