naaah not enough people in nz give enough of a f*** about some cricket to warrant tears. It just gets to "meh, that's disappointing" and that's it. That's why experts like larsen and stead get employed. If there was enough actual passion and outrage, s*** would get done.

Just a game to be honest... they did their best. Good entertainment. No one died. It's a great pass time and nice to see close finishes. Would be great if we can close out these games but **** happens. No one goes out to perform badly. Some days it works some days it doesn't. It can go either way these games, you can't crucify them because we lost.

The Indians are very used to such close games, they keep calm and less panicked. We have very less experience and it shows. Ideally the likes of Southee should do the job but he's also up against one of the best batsman going around.

Seifert must be devastated but Shami used those two short balls at the right time and to the correct batsman. We had many opportunities and we squandered them. Shows we panic or we take it too easy. There has to be some middle ground.

Only following this series from afar, but one clear conclusion is that CDG is awful in the middle order and possibly shouldn't be in the side at all. He's a bit-part player and 4 is a pivotal spot - you can't put someone there who has no idea against the opposition's best two or three bowlers.

The fact that Taylor is a lock doesn't say much for the current situation, that half century in the first game was his first in 5 years or something. TBF though Sodhi blows hot and cold he should be in the squad, the bigger grounds in Australia would make him a good option plus his BBL experience. Would hope for something like this:
