They've been getting Boyle cheaply in first-class by beating or nicking his inside edge, that seems to be the really common one. You'd think Boyle's batting is much suited for red ball cricket. He has fantastic technique and a quality player. Strangely he's averaging 17 in first class and over 50 in one day. He played few good knocks in the super smash as well.
Awesome work, comprehensive video. Probably playing drives at some of the balls that could be defended? Probably needs to whip some of those through leg side. That said we are fed to play straight all the time so pretty hard to change hitting areas after having grown up playing straighter. Some good nuts there though. They've been getting Boyle cheaply in first-class by beating or nicking his inside edge, that seems to be the really common one.
Maybe Cricinfo guys aren't smart enough to figure there is no official team named New Zealand XI and made up of players that were excess for super smash. I'd rather trust Cricket Archive, they are amazing.Cricket Archive went with miscellaneous games ftr.
Nice... hoping for a HD stream seeing it's on Vimeo. Last year coverage was awesome.
it was about the usual fringe/new to fc standard tbh with a couple of nz A incumbents like mitchell and cleaver in there to stiffen them. you'd be pretty stoked to rock up for a game against the cantabs and see theo van woerkom instead of tastle or that chinaman bowler coburn.Only the proper A games are official games and stats counts. The two games we had have no one day status. The NZ XI we provided this time is way stronger than we have in the past. We generally provide a mix of youth and experienced players that are not going to take part in the A side or the black caps side. This one has been an exception.
ffffuuuuuGrade 3 ankle sprain means Ishant is ruled out of test series.
