I really do think Latham looks so much more likely to go big when he plays his shots. When he's stuck in Richardson-mode you know it's only a matter of time till a mental error undoes him.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Latham quietly having a fairly gun last few test series. epic hundred in Sri Lanka, 100 vs England, managed a 50 and 49 on The Worst Kiwi Test Tour of All Time (TM), and a couple of 50s here in a low scoring, bowler friendly affair.

Latham has to be one of the best players of spin in the world at the moment.

He probably could, but the fact he doesn't shows why he's a better player and human being than the other fella.
The T20 kit should use nicknames imo. Who wouldn't love a jersey with "the Boss" "Steady the Ship" or "Darlingface" on it

choke coming?
Nah that was more an ode to Wagner that Bumrah wanted to put out there. He'd studied so many Wags tapes prior to this series that he needed something short and on the gloves to really be able to tip his hat at the master.

Pretty average all round summer for Kano. Just a chance-laden hundred against an exhausted England attack bowling on a road, and his excellent 89 in the first test to show for it. Otherwise he's looked hugely vulnerable in the early stages of his innings. Was poor in SL as well. The guy needs a break, probably for the best there's a good gap between the end of the IPL and our next tour.
