It is much harder batting in the last innings. 300 is ridiculous. Very few have ever chases 300+.

Bumrah and Shami look a pretty good pair. They will make it hard for NZ if India can score 175+
NZ is a bit different tbf, there's a solid record in recent years of 4th innings batting being relatively straightforward here. Still, chases are hard by their very nature.

Been a great test to watch so far. Today has been nothing but frenetic and there’s still plenty of life in the wicket for the quicks.

Surely the radar’s a bit high at Hagley? Southee and Jamieson are both 5kph up
CdG speeds will reveal all. Both Bumrah and Shami were consistently in the 140s today but CdG was clocking less than 120 yesterday. If he starts bowling 125+ then something may be up.

boults been about the same as wellington.

southee just feeling a jamieson coming for his spot as the younger, taller, actually tries when he bats version imo
Boult was getting close to 140 there. He wasn't clocking those speeds in the 1st test. Both he and Southee were very low 130s with the new ball there.

Whatever it takes!!!
They say pitch has quickened up, I dunno if that gets their tail up or something. The extra pace could just be T&T upping themselves for the moving session of the game here.
