***Official*** India in New Zealand 2013/14

How high up the list is that innings for a New Zealander? Astle's 222 is the only one I can remember that'd be in the same league.

It's coming at BJ Watling batting for a draw pace mate, so I think you're safe for a good long sleep.

Besides I have lots of Pokemon Yellow to play tonight.
Maybe at close of play tomorrow (if it is a good day tomorrow) - we should make a thread for odes - so we can all take a crack.

Either way I may put one together for Brendon. I may modify Neil Young's southern man.

It's not calming following Neesham's batting but these quick runs are hurting India. He'll keep rolling the dice and if doesn't edge one behind or mistime a catch then will be 70 or 80 by the close.
good call this

I think this has a fair case for being the best innings I've ever seen live, but it's honestly got absolutely nothing on Laxman's knock. It's not even close IMO, regardless of what happens tomorrow.
guessing you didnt see Dominic Thornley's 261 v WA then

Hutton benefitted from a missed stumping at 40 and went on to make 364 (+324).
Mark Taylor was dropped thrice, on 18 and 25 and 325 and went on to make 334* (+300 in between the second and third drop).
Gooch was dropped on 36 and went on to make 333 (+297).
Inzamam was dropped on 32 and made 329 (+297).
Sangakkara was dropped on 0 and made 270 (+270).
Another good is R. Ponting dropped on 0 by Amir and going onto 209, just simply because of how easy the catch

Only after Baz gets to 300, and Jimmeh gets to 100.

I'd rather they bat on for another hour tomorrow and make sure that there are only two possible results. After such a fight back it would be silly to be too sporting.

326 off 90 ------> 400 off 75

Anyone got a link to any decent highlights from play today?

Like a lot of others, didn't manage to catch a single ball with it being a working day. Not that I got much work done today anyway in listening to Radio Sport, watching CricInfo, and posting and viewing this thread :D

how the **** are we even discussing this. this is just straight up ridiculous. nz doesn't do this. bmac, watling and even you neesh you're legends!

I think Baz was still in a daze (or trolling) when he said he's considering declaring overnight. I'd bet a ridiculous amount of money that he doesn't do that. Not only are they 1-0 up, but he's also near a triple. It just won't happen.

India will be shut out pretty quickly tomorrow. If they are up for the fight they should still draw it, but being in the field for 2+ days, I reckon NZ are great value for a win.

What a performance, McCullum looked out on his feet when I went to bed at lunch so to carry on that long is a hell of an effort. India looked so flat though in that morning session, very strange game.

Not Terrible
I've managed to time my lunch breaks to catch 90% of the raisings of the bats for our 100s and 200s this Summer.

Tomorrow will be so amazing if we get those wickets early. Have no choice but to go for it. A ridiculous looking chase would put Kohli in his element

i'll be packing myself if india are chasing early tomorrow, so considering this test and tour as a whole you know what's going to be happening...

Nah look its obviously not impossible for this to happen but India's body language was really bad in that last hour. They're dead, and they want on the plane. Doubt they have the fight left to skittle NZ and then have 80 overs to chase whatever they need to.

I honestly don't even know if they will have the fight to bat out the draw. They should, because that pitch is obviously flat. But I dunno, gut feeling.
