Glad you had a good time at the game KiWiNiNjA. Disappointing for Jono, but at least he got to see Kohli bowl. Did you make your way over to the Sol Bar today?

Also that is McCullum six off Jadeja near the end of the day came right near me. I did not pick it up at all and am incredibly thankful it didn't come straight to me as it would have no doubt sconned me and I'd have looked like a ****ing **** live on TV. Instead that bloke with the Boston Celtics top, who also picked it up late, looked the fool.

Phew.
See now if that had hit you, it would've definitely been better than Laxman's innings.

Big call, but Neesham has looked more composed with the bat (in Tests) than Anderson up until this point. Anderson has scored some good test runs but looks the looser of the two IMHO.
Funny, I was thinking the same thing earlier this evening and thought I'd post something similiar to this.

Looking into a crystal ball, I think Neesham will end up being the better cricketer, and thank goodness we played him over Sodhi in this Test.

**** Kohli bowling, I got to see Kohli keep! :p

In all honesty whilst I am shattered as an Indian fan obviously, but as a cricket fan (which I like to think I am first and foremost) I feel privileged to have actually seen live that partnership and especially THAT innings from McCullum.

A shame you couldn't come. For some reason I thought Kiwininja was also not going today but obviously I was wrong! Where were you seated Ninja? I had a great chat with Hurricane lyong on the bank.

So true about how every run was being clapped at the end. So many people came after work/school.

So the very best India could realistically hope for is ripping out the last 4 wickets in about 5 overs for 15 runs hence requiring 340 off around 82-83 overs..... a chance?

Haha Zinzan, the best India can hope for is it being rained off tomorrow and they catch an early flight.

Can you taste a decision to not do something? If so I'm definitely tasting my decision to not go to New Zealand over this last week. As I said earlier I was contemplating some sort of Auckland Nines/Wellington Test double but I couldn't really make it work. Dire stuff.

Bit rough on blocky, being banned for that. ****block feature would have worked so well here.

Wonderful stuff. I was able to watch the first session of the match, and then a wedding took over my life. The last few days have included only the very occasional snap glance at the scoreboard. But then I watched the last hour yesterday, and caught a large chunk of today. Truly wonderful test cricket. McCullum, Watling and Neesham deserve every accolade cast their way, McCullum in particular. Wonderful, mind-bending stuff against an Indian side that never lay down, never stopped charging in and never stopped chasing the ball. I cannot wait for tomorrow.

If I'd had the time and inclination, I'd have taken Dan, KiWiNiNjA and Jono to one of the local pubs after the result of this day's play.

The Tasting Room. I never thought McCullum had it in him.

Yeah you're definitely tasting.

Had I chosen Auckland instead of Basin Reserve I'd have been tasting too - but I listened to you. Phew.

Although I'd have loved to have caught up with hendrix in Auckland. Next time (y)

don't agree, tbh.

Neesham played a couple of clear edges. The one that didn't carry to Vijay at first slip would have either been easily snaffled by a keeper like Watling, Prasanna or Haddin realising that the ball wouldn't carry, or, alternatively India would have actually learned their lesson and taken a couple of steps forward.

Also a few edgy drives.

A very good player though.

**** glad I"m not the only one who thought India were too deep with the slips and Dhoni as well. Was sitting on the bank going "surely the fact these aren't carrying means you move up!" but wasn't sure since I wasn't seeing it on tv.

Of course I had to fly back on ****ing Day 3 with NZ playing like ****.

Tasting for my poor scheduling, tbh. Staying for the entire thing would have also got me out of the speech I have to deliver tomorrow (and am currently procrastinating the writing of).

Then again, Heef is probably extremely glad to have got rid of me

The Sol Bar was cLOSed.

I was flying SOLo in the shade of the RA Vance stand all day, after a pretty draining day underneath the SOL on SOLday.

I did see 16tos though, who casually rocked up after lunch to catch some history.

We don't have it so Cribb and I decided that this was the best option.
Yeah I wouldn't want to be a mod at times like these :p

Hard for us to say anyways because we don't know how many warnings you've given him and what they were about.

Can understand some feeling that way after today, but cricket is a funny game. A ounce of luck early, mop up the tail & I wouldn't put it past this Indian line-up chasing a ridiculous score at 4-5 an over. Still think India could be worth a lazy 5 or 10 dollars based on oddschecker's current pricings;

New Zealand $6
Draw $1.6
India $26
