ffs. Had been so good up until then in difficult conditions and that is reaaaaaaaaaaaally not what was needed. Now Anderson exposed in seaming conditions.

Desperately need runs from Watling - didn't look in great form in Auckland though.
Yeah. Just need someone to stick around with Williamson. Watling seems to have the best temperament for that role, so fingers crossed.

McCullum was just trying to hit that too hard.

Not expecting much from Anderson in these conditions tbh. We need Williamson to make runs here desperately, get us through to 200 or so.

Just watched the replay. Yeah, definitely the pitch's fault he played it right down Jadeja's throat. Also, the hotdog stands are a huge distraction. Asterisk wicket.

Seriously, WTF is this commentary?

KW really got away with one there. The two noises definitely saved him. Great shot to rub it in.

If by plumb you mean nicking and wouldn't have been overturned under DRS then yes it was plumb.

Edit: NP got in there first

And McCullum's wicket strikes me as the pitfalls of the 'swipe hard when it's green' approach.
it's just a standard mccullum wicket anywhere on any wicket against any bowler.

Gotta live with it.

Gutted for Latham but if there was ever any further proof that our openers need to go, this has been it.
