Hilarious innings from Southee. 28 is about what I'm happy with from him. Ish can bat.

We'll be wanting well more than 450 so here's hoping Ish can stick around while McCullum blazes away.

this is already McCullum's greatest innings IMO.
nah, has the potential but we don't know yet. his double to draw the test was heroic and in many ways looked like he was announcing himself as a real opening batsman rather than "just" a keeper. it's a shame it didn't pan out that way in the end.

I actually am happy we picked Sodhi now that we have this many runs on the board.

We can afford for him to buy some wickets.

Yep I'm still more happy to have Sodhi here than I would be to have Bracewell. Sodhi gives us 'variety' (half trackers that the batsman can hit down a fielder's throat).
