***Official*** India in England

I'm not convinced that Ganguly will be the disaster one or two folks are predicting, especially after Collingwood was the most effective English bowler in these conditions.
See Nnanden has beaten me to it, but fair call that. He's effectively ripped the guts out of our batting.

Just praying the rain settles in for good now as we've got to be well, well down on DL after the 4 wickets.

I don't know about India, but what would really piss off England is if the rain let off just enough for India to complete 20 overs, and then poured till the cows came home.

And that's why you don't want batsmen to throw it away when set. KP gone, and so has the match in all probability.

Looking at KP right now, I can't see that he should be playing in the 2020 WC. He's obviously stale as hell and, rightly or wrongly, needs a break.
another way of looking at it is that the 2020WC probably is the least pressurised cricket KP will have played in for the last 3 years. No-one will be truely concerned if he fails to score in that tournament, however he will be given real license to go out there and give it a go. It might be something he needs at the moment.

To be perfectly honest, I read 2020 WC as in the one in 2020, and was extremely confused.

Anyway, so pissed at Foxtel not showing this. Can't wait to watch the replay tomorrow when I get back from uni.

Fair play to Bopara for batting, I was sure that England would be a bat down.

Boo to Shah for his 15 off 36 balls when England can't afford such a slow innings.

Looks like an easy win for India. Both teams are clearly better at defending targets though IIRC 3 out of 5 times the captain has elected to field after winning the toss. I doubt that will happen in the remaining two games so the toss may matter a lot. India will probably need to figure out a way to chase a target to win the series.

I have a feeling that the one successful chase that England pulled off, against the odds, the other day will make the difference in this series.

The decision to drop RP Singh was clearly correct but I would have preferred Uthappa to Gambhir. In a tough game I don't think the latter will deliver though his 50 has probably given him a spot for the remaining two games.

Wow. Collingwood is making things interesting. Still don't think that England can go all the way though.
